Each generation has been called upon to assist its young people into becoming adults. Rites of Passage was a vision of Pastor Willie F. Wilson for boys and girls under the Orita Youth Program. The female rites of passage started in 1984 with 40 girls completing two-day weekend training. Over the last 30 years, The Womanhood Training Program has expanded to a two year program which begins with 72 hours of extensive weekend teaching; and over 150 hours of training and enrichment that continues throughout the two-year cycle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose<\/strong><br \/>\n\u201cLittle by Little Grows the Banana\u201d<br \/>\nThe Womanhood Training Program is designed to give our children, spiritual, mental and physical principals learned from our history and taught by our elders.
